Pucallpa, Peru
Abundant Blessings Ministry
After the trip to Arequipa in January, Dr. Leslie was invited to return to
Peru to conduct Pastor/Leader Conferences as well as other
conferences. It was decided we would return in August. After much
preparation, and prayer, Dr. Leslie and Pastor Doug left on August 23
for Peru.
We arrived in Pucallpa, in the jungles on Friday
afternoon. We went from 65 degrees in Lima to
95 degrees in Pucallpa.
We held our first conference Friday night at a
church across from the Ucalayi River. Dr. Leslie
taught on the “Six Spirits Against the Church.”
Saturday night was a street crusade.
Pastor Doug spoke first and gave his
testimony of God’s love that softened the
hearts of the people. Dr. Leslie spoke on
“God Loves You.” The ministry time was
intense with salvations and healings.
Dr. Leslie ministered at two churches on
Sunday teaching “The Power of
Peace” and “The 30-60-100-fold Christian.”
Pastor/Leader Conferences
Three half day conferences were held throughout the week for Pastors
and their leaders. We were brought to various areas to meet with the
people. Topics included: “Effective Leaders”, ”Responsibility and
Authority,” “The Role of Leaders Behind the Pastor’s Vision.”
These sessions were very well received and
many notes were taken.
Business Leaders Conference
This was a half day conference with business
and city leaders as well as the church leaders.
Topics included: “Business Ethics”,
“Being a Leader of Influence”, “The Communication Model”,
“Conflict Resolution” and “Keys to Being the Best Leader.” Afterwards
a luncheon was served.
Women’s Conferences
We held two conferences during the week.
What a blessing they were! Dr. Leslie
taught on“The Keys to Activate God”,
“What Does it Mean to be a Blessing?”
“God’s Purpose for Women” and “How to
Grow Up Spiritually”. The ministry times
were anointed and God moved powerfully!
Drug Rehab House
Pastor Doug was asked to preach and speak to 15 men who are in a
drug rehab program. What a powerful time as he shared his testimony
and gave great encouragement to the men! We gave them gift bags of
toiletries and Pastor Doug was able to pray with each them.
Evening Meetings
We spoke at various churches each evening
to teach the believers to be high powered,
low maintenance warriors for the Army of God!
Dr. Leslie taught on “Which Tree Do You Eat
From.” The revelation the people received was
exciting and lives were changed! Pastor Doug preached one evening
on Isaiah 61:1-3 to encourage and exhort the people to take action so
they will see revival in Peru.
Our team from Peru –Pastor Jorge, Pastor Julio and our translator,
Merari were such a blessing and made the trip a great success.
We were blessed to meet Pastor Caleb, the President of the Evangelical
Association who oversees all the churches in the Ucalayi River area.
We were able to encourage and pray with him and his wife as they lead
and guide the churches with the vision God has given them.
We were interviewed on the Maranatha Radio station in Pucallpa and
had a chance to pray for the radio station and
the earthquake victims
The people in Peru are seeking God and
revival. Please join with us in prayer for
God’s revelation and wisdom for the people
of Peru!
